Steve's role in leadership, people development and organisational transformation has its origins in solid commercial experience and academia. Following a twenty year sales and marketing career in the pharmaceutical industry, Steve gained an MBA in 1995 from the Open University Business School and now tutors at that level for the university and other major UK business schools.
Whilst studying for his MBA the key question arose - "Where there is a vision and the skills - why does change work only 10% of the time?" The answer is usually that strategic context and people's attitudes and beliefs are ignored. In co-founding Enabling Development, Steve helps individuals, teams and organisations determine their way forward to deliver enhanced business performance.
