Business success is built on the ability to generate new ideas and successfully implement them, e.g. the enormous success of the 3M ‘Post-it’ note. Innovation is 'the successful implementation of ideas'. Research by Arthur D Little identified that the stockmarket places a minimum 15% premium higher valuation on innovative companies. Human Dynamics provide reliable innovative thinking processes that enable your organization to improve its performance to achieve this premium.  Innovation can be:

  • Strategic innovation, which involves transforming the basis of competition, the brand or organisation
  • Product or service innovation, which is the exploitation of ideas to deliver something to the market place
  • Process innovation, i.e. new ways to do old things

Human Dynamics can help in the following areas:

  • 24 hour Innovation strategy events, where you get real progress in a short time
  • New product/service development consultancy
  • Marketing strategies to ensure your innovation diffuses rapidly into the marketplace
  • Continuous improvement processes e.g. product redesign and value engineering
  • Organisational 'illnesses' e.g. poor motivation, performance problems

Case Study:

Ideas into innovations

Situation

Our client is a technology company, facing severe competition on a global basis. It is looking to produce innovations within the brand, its products and its processes, so that it may generate short and long term growth and contain the cost base to improve shareholder value.

The client requirement

To generate a range of innovative opportunities each worth minimum £100 M per annum.

What we did

We designed and ran a series of innovation workshops to address the challenge. We also provided advice and development so that the company could continue this work after we had transferred the necessary knowledge, skills and values.

The result

In one 24 hour workshop, a wide range of strategic, product and process innovations were generated, from which 11 passed all the tests of implementation and each one was judged to be of greater value than the £100 M per annum target. Five of these have been subsequently implemented.

What the client said

Human Dynamics organised and facilitated several valuable innovation workshops for us and we would recommend them to others seeking to engender greater creativity and innovation within their organisations. We found the approach directed by Peter Cook to be very customer-focused, energising, and conducive to creating an innovative environment. Human Dynamics always responded to our requirements quickly, and consistently added value with helpful suggestions.
